Welcome to the official website of Ivy Endowment, Incorporated (IEI). I am honored to serve as the 7th president of this esteemed organization. In 1975, our founders started with an idea to financially assist worthy young women who wanted to further their education and use their acquired knowledge to be of service to their race and be of service to all mankind. In 1979, they permanently cemented this guiding principle when they incorporated as Scholarship Fund, Inc. Today, now known as Ivy Endowment, Incorporated, we have not wavered in this endeavor. We remain committed to support youth and communities in Central Indiana through the granting of scholarships and by providing and supporting programs that serve to improve their quality of life.
The theme for the 2022-2023 administration is Legacy, Sisterhood and Innovation. Ivy Endowment, Incorporated will continue to honor her legacy by maintaining a focus on scholarships for Black women and ensuring that all members know the rich history of our foundation. We will strengthen the bonds of sisterhood by continuing our collaboration with Alpha Mu Omega Chapter. We are all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®; without the sisterhood, there would be no IEI.
Lastly, the world as we knew it three years ago is no more. Not only have we have had to adapt to the changes to maintain the simplest activities of our daily lives. Innovation is imperative to stay relevant, successful and in alignment with our principles. We will be innovative in our future programming which strengthens our families and the Central Indiana community. We will see a stronger online presence and an increase in our profile in the community. We will also be more innovative to maximize our fundraising impact, which will allow us to provide more scholarships, service and opportunities for the people that we serve.
