Rosebuds Program Overview
Alpha Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) and Ivy Endowment, Incorporated started The Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Program 39 years ago.
The Rosebuds Program is an integral part of the Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Program.
Rosebuds participate in various programs and activities which prepares them for the more rigorous Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Program.
Rosebuds traditionally serve as hostesses during the Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Program.
Objectives of the Program
Enhance the skills and knowledge of participants through structured educational workshops.
Promote high ethical standards, good citizenship, and social graces during these formative years.
Support and encourage high academic achievement among participants.
Instill the values of volunteerism and community service to cultivate a spirit of servant leadership.
Foster camaraderie and cultivate positive relationships among young women.
